The entire world is looking for new possibilities and options to adopt, get going under this pandemic. Businesses and governments are trying to find ways to be operational being remote and are encouraging employees to work from home-office and be equally productive. Remaining in isolation at home all day long, people want to go out in the evening to breathe in fresh air. Love to see other’s face even though mostly covered with mask. They want to share smile, as if saying “we all are together”.

Even the educational institutions are impacted, starting from elementary school to universities, most students are doing remote schooling. It is a unique experience in it-self. Life makes us learn to live, explore new possibilities, adopt even if, it is not perfect. “If life gives you lemons make lemonade”, we all are learning new ways training us to make it a habit and move towards new normal. The process of finding new normal will continue, and many new avenues will emerge. Some school children are doing classes in hybrid mode. Today, I dropped my son at school, all his friends were in mask. Everyone’s support is necessary in following healthy safety norms, but I was also thinking in my mind, what is the sin of these innocent angels, why do they have to hide their face. It seems that God is very angry with all of us.

Dhanno is happy getting along with many other friends in the evening and biking. They chat and sometime Dhanno gets completely distracted in gossips, results in slowing down speed. A friend of Dhanno shared her past story. She came like a new bride, decades ago. Then few months later she was “hanged” from the roof in the garage, her crime was that she wanted to go out for a race every evening on biking trail. Looking at the cars going out every day from garage roof, it was painful, “If I do not call Corona a friend, then what can I say, it has freed me from prison life.”

Dhanno consoled her, at times you might have to suffer, even if you are not at fault. Things happen in life. We all need to be happy and forget and forgive is only way-out. You can only compete, with me in biking race, if you shed all those unwanted heavy loads and be happy. In life there is a hope, in being hopeful and positive. I also learnt a golden rule only this year to let the baggage go from the past and forget, live in present to make a better future and not ever use time machine to reverse the clock.

Focus on present, keep eye on the road and bike fast. This year I made a new record, biked close to one thousand miles. So please join me, “your best friend Dhanno” in a race to win, the race of life.

This is a great example of being hopeful, exploring possibilities to find new normal. The cry of corona will diminish, vaccine will be available and we all should be able to pass through this pandemic era, we just need hope, patience stand together. It is important to note, do not let anyone inadvertently feel sad with your action. Pray that no one should be a victim like Dhanno’s friend.
